In Bedford Village, a Christmas tree lighting will be held on the Village Green on Friday at 7 p.m., according to an announcement from the Bedford Village Business Association. The lighting will be preceded by a gathering with refreshments at the Bedford firehouse.
Meanwhile, Bedford Village stores will host the hamlet's annual Ingle Pass Weekend, which runs from Friday to Sunday and is being promoted by the business association. Participating merchants will be offering discounts. Additionally, on Sunday there will be a Mistletoe Mart from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will take place at the Bedford Presbyterian Church.
Bedford Hills' tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 5 p.m. by the train station, according to the Bedford Hills Lions Club.
The Lions Club is asking residents to bring sweaters and/or gently used coats, which it plans to donate to the Community Center of Northern Westchester to assist people in need.
In Katonah, residents will be able to gather on Sunday evening for the hamlets annual Christmas tree and Hanukkah menorah lightings, according to the Katonah Chamber of Commerce. The festivities will start at 5:30 p.m. and run for two hours. The event will take place in front of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
On Friday, Nov. 9, several of the hamlet's merchants will participate in what's being called the Katonah Stroll. Shops, according to the chamber, will stay open until 8 p.m., while a choir will sing carols along Katonah Avenue. Additionally, singer Paul Loren, who is called a "Soul Crooner," will perform at the gazebo.
